A gorgeous vintage Azilal carpet with a painterly composition. This Berber tale is narrated in a diptych showing fascinating motifs executed with somewhat diffused lines. Densely knotted with a ground in natural ivory. Patterns are colored in a palette of indigo, sea green, yellow, red and charcoal accents. Beautiful premium wool quality. A fancy detail are the fringes in magenta and red adding a brief moment of bold color. All wool with cotton in the warp for strengthening which is very common with the Azilal carpets. The carpet in in a very good condition.
