Description
This beautiful vintage Azilal carpet exhibits a variation of the classic Beni Ouarain network of female lozenges flanked with dark borders. Knotted with a background in natural undyed ivory and patterned in dark brown. The composition is divided into four parts separated by a subtle line. Some lozenges are holding Berber motifs possibly indicating fertility. Very nicely finished with a flatweave band and plaited tassels on both ends. Low to medium pile, all wool. The carpet is in a very good condition.
