Description
This vintage Moroccan Azilal Carpet exhibits a weft woven with a striping design with wool in natural undyed tones. The carpet has a dense pile construction, hand-knotted with a gorgeous soft wool quality. The composition begins with abstract motifs but changes into a classic network of female lozenges, similar to the designs of the Beni Ouarain tribal carpets. Both ends of the carpet show broad decorated flatweave bands adding to the tribal spirit of this carpet. The carpet is in a very good condition.
