Description
A beautiful vintage Beni Ouarain carpet with a tribal chic spirit. This unique carpet displays a slightly irregular network of classic female lozenges knotted with double lines holding small intricate diamond motifs. Male protection is present showing arrow patterned borders. The lozenges are filled with a variety of Berber symbols repeated horizontally and several tribal motifs meandering along the edges. Very densely knotted with a field in natural ivory to light beige and patterned in charcoal and a deep silver grey. Very nicely finished with a flatweave band on both ends and small plaited tassels. Medium to slightly lofty pile and 100% soft wool quality. The carpet well preserved and in a very good condition.
