Description
A superb vintage Beni Ouarain carpet with the most beautiful soft silky texture and subtle luminous wool. The composition shows a network of double lined female lozenges holding intricate smaller motifs. Adorned with a variety of Berber motifs and patterned borders lending a tribal vibe. The carpet is very densely knotted with a field in natural undyed wool and patterned in charcoal with a hint of henna orange. With thick double sided borders and lovely checkered tufting on the backside. Nicely finished with braided tassels. Medium pile and 100% wool. The carpet is well preserved and in a very good condition.
