A striking vintage carpet from the Zayane region. The long ravishing colored pile demand all the attention whilst beneath the most beautiful intricate motifs remain unrevealed. Knotted in deep vibrant hues continuously shifting across the composition. With a wide variety of intricate Berber symbols integrated into large chevrons. The back of the carpet clearly shows borders with eight pointed stars, typical of the Boujad weavings and perhaps a cross border influence. Very nicely finished with a flatweave band on both ends and dark contrasting braided tassels. Medium to lofty pile and all wool. The carpet is well preserved and in a very good condition.
