Description
A lovely example of a Beni Mrirt carpet adorned with a Beni Ouarain influenced pattern and densely knotted with a background in the typical crimson red of this region. The composition displays a symmetrical network of smaller female lozenges in charcoal and ivory layered over a gently abrashed field edged with double sided borders in charcoal and dark brown. Low to medium pile and 100% soft wool. Nicely finished with a flatweave band on both ends and short pom style fringes. This vintage piece is in a very good condition.
