Description
Exquisite vintage Zayane carpet featuring an elaborate design and a fantastic color surprise. Incredibly densely constructed with a ground in a palette of cognac, deep ochre orange and dark plum. Skillfully combined to create a field of subtle shifting hues. The composition shows a network of female lozenges in a more complex variant. The intricate motifs are knotted in anthracite and silver grey with a hint of faded magenta and Ivory accents. Beautiful details are the flatweave bands on both ends, dark double sided borders creating subtle contrast and a row of tufting in matching colors visible at the back side. Very nicely finished with thick and dark plaited tassels. Medium pile, very dense with 100% wool. The carpet is well preserved and in a very good condition.
