A classic example of a vintage Beni Mrirt carpet densely knotted with a field in abrashed crimson red. The composition shows a slightly irregular network of double lined female lozenges holding tiny cross motifs in charcoal, orange and ivory high lights. Entirely framed with strings of abstract diamond motifs that shift into zigzag patterned borders. The weaver has skilfully used colors to hight light and accent the patterns with surprising pops of green! Very nicely finished with long plaited tassels. Medium pile and 100% wool. The carpet feels lovely dense and soft under foot. In a very good condition.
