Description
Incredibly lovely Beni Mguild kilim with a tribal spirit. This older piece displays horizontal bands with a variety of connected Berber motifs in a beautiful palette of warm orange, yellow, ivory and charcoal on a ground of time faded magenta. The weaver has masterly combined colors to high light and accentuate the intricate patterns. Very nicely finished with long fringes in contrasting charcoal. The rug is in a very good condition for its age but has fragile areas and is not suitable for use in a high traffic area.
