Description
Vintage Azilal carpet with soft and luminous wool quality. The carpet is loosely knotted with a field in natural ivory. The composition is embellished with small abstract lozenge motifs sprinkled across the field and flanked with large zigzag patterned borders. Dominating colors are dark carmine red, mustard yellow, dark grey and a hint of emerald green. Very nicely finished with colorful tufting, a flatweave band and plaited tassels. Medium pile, all wool with cotton in the warp for strengthening which is very common on the weavings from the Azilal region. The carpet is in a very good condition.
