Description
This vintage Beni Ouarain carpet shows a field in natural ivory adorned with a network of female lozenges in silver grey and charcoal. The lozenges are created with double lines holding intricate smaller diamond motifs. A wonderfully dense woolen carpet with beautiful details such as the darker double sided borders and flatweave bands with striping design on both ends. A generously sized piece and an absolutely lovely example of the domestically hand-knotted carpets of this tribe. Medium pile and 100% premium wool. Feels luxuriously soft under foot! The carpet is in very good condition.
