Description
A superb vintage Beni Ouarain carpet. The pile is double knotted with a field in natural undyed wool. Depending on the light and surrounding colors the shades of the natural wool shift in warm ivory, cream and oat color. The triptych composition shows fabulous irregularities and intricate motifs narrating a complex Berber tale. Edged with dark double sided borders. The luminous soft wool and weaving quality is old school. The carpet has gracefully aged over the decades showing minor signs or age wear which adds beauty to its vintage soul. Over all the carpet is in a good condition.
