Description
A vintage Beni Ouarain carpet exhibiting a very soft premium wool quality. The carpet is very densely hand-knotted with a background in natural creamy ivory. The composition shows a classic network of double lined female lozenges holding a intricate smaller diamond motifs in black and charcoal. The carpet is edged with thick double sided borders nicely contrasting the ivory wool. Very lovely finishing with checkered tufting and long braided fringes on both sides. Medium pile, all wool with cotton in the warp for strengthening. The carpet is in a very good condition.
