Description
A vintage Beni Ouarain carpet dated 1993 and signed in Arabic by the weaver. This sublime carpet is very densely knotted with a soft and lustrous wool quality. The composition displays a slightly irregular network of small single and double lined female lozenges flanked with patterned borders. The dark brown and charcoal colored pile of the patterns is shorter and vaguely glimpses through the higher natural wool. Very nicely finished with checkered tufting and square braided tassels. Medium to lofty pile and 100% wool. The carpet is in a very good condition.
