Description
Little vintage Taznakht flatweave with the saffron yellow dyed wool typical for the weavings from this region. The Taznakht region is know for the best saffron in Morocco as well as the refined carpet weaving, a heritage from the Jewish population that once lived in this area. The composition of this beautiful piece shows a full network of intricate lozenges in natural ivory and brown wool. Very nicely finished with selvedges and long plaited tassels in contrasting yellow on both ends. This carpet is in a very good condition.
