Vintage Talsint Rug / 335 x 207 cm

This captivating vintage Talsint rug unravels like a labyrinth, inviting the eye to linger and discover. Its entire field is woven with miniature lattice motifs, each varying in scale and form, punctuated rhythmically by horizontal lines that seem to guide the narrative. At first glance, the composition appears abstract, but with time, hidden chevron shapes begin to emerge, cleverly concealed within the intricate geometry.

The palette is unmistakably Talsint, a bold yet harmonious repetition of burnt orange, carmine red, emerald green, charcoal, and ivory. Woven in a loose yet dense structure, the medium pile gives the rug a warm tactility while keeping the focus on its mesmerising composition.

Finished with flatweave bands and beautifully braided tassels on both ends, this piece is not only rich in texture but an artwork of tribal abstraction, a piece for collectors and storytellers alike.
