Vintage Beni Ouarain / 295 x 195 cm

This vintage Beni Ouarain reads like a storybook, rich with visual tales told through symbols and motifs. Its field in natural ivory wool carries a soft oat glow and is structured with a basic, single-lined network of lozenges. Each row holds a repeated, almost illustrative motif—like sketches passed down through generations—bringing a raw, tribal charm with an almost childlike sweetness.

Along both sides, enclosed vertical strings of small diamonds add rhythm to the composition. The patterns are knotted in warm camel brown with accents of henna orange, further deepening its earthy narrative. Woven with soft wool in a medium, double knotted pile, the rug is beautifully finished with detailed flatweave bands featuring orange, brown, and ivory checkered striping, and long, braided tassels. A delightful example of Berber storytelling in textile form.
