Superb vintage Beni Ouarain carpet showing a classic female lozenge network with several broken lozenges in the middle and male protection ladder borders. The network is constructed by connected square motifs knotted in black, charcoal and brown, layered over a field in natural ivory and cream. The carpet is incredibly densely handknotted (old school style) with beautiful luminous wool quality. Nicely edged with thick and impressive double sided black borders. Finished with black and white tufting on both ends and long plaited tassels. Feels incredibly soft under foot! Medium pile and made with 100% soft wool. The carpet is in very good condition.
