Vintage Boujad Rug / 238 x 118 cm

This vintage Boujad rug narrates a tale of balance between contrast and cohesion. Lozenge motifs are meticulously arranged across a field of carmine red, shifting in tone from light to deep hues. Each motif, varying in colour, shape, and scale, seems to carry its own intention, yet collectively they belong to a singular, meaningful story.

The weaver boldly chose contrasting tones, vibrant cornflower blue and the rare surprise of chartreuse, creating an eye-catching interplay. Subtle sawtooth edges offer a tribal nuance, while a colourful macramé fringe adds a joyful finish, both decorative and functional, preserving the warp ends.

Low to medium pile, runner-style proportions, and beautifully preserved.
