Vintage Zayane Rug / 327 x 187 cm

A radiant vintage rug from the Zayane region, this piece is a celebration of warmth and complexity. Its field is densely knotted in abrashed shades of orange, shifting like sunlight over a textured surface. The composition follows a classic lozenge pattern, yet the weaver has added her own playful twist, ladder-style lines within each lozenge introduce rhythm and movement.

Dark indigo and ivory create bold contrast, while sunny yellow and subtle touches of faded chartreuse give this rug a glowing, almost luminous presence. Flip it over, and the intricacy of the patterning becomes even more apparent, a richly layered Berber tale told in wool.
