Description
A superb vintage carpet from the Azilal region. This piece is densely knotted with a field in natural ivory adorned with a network of small female lozenges. The composition appears divided into three sections showing initial smaller motifs and a definitive ending. The network continues with larger lozenges and ends with subtle pops of indigo blue and deep orange. Typical of the Azilal weavings the warp is strengthened with cotton. Very nicely finished with braided tassels. Beautiful soft wool quality. The carpet is in a very good condition.
