Description
A vintage Marmoucha carpet displaying a perfectly balanced composition with the intricately designed classic lozenges flanked by ladder patterned borders. With a field in natural creamy ivory and patterns knotted in shades of grey and taupe blended with carmine red and pale tangerine accents. Very nicely finished with a large flatweave band on both ends and long fringes. Low to medium pile and 100% soft wool quality. The carpet is in a very good condition. The Marmoucha tribe is a region neighboring the Beni Ouarain tribe which explains the similarities of these carpets.
