Description
This beautiful vintage Beni Ouarain Berber carpet is densely knotted with a field in natural ivory and cream tones bordered with charcoal. Two large lozenges are knotted in the middle of the carpet flanked with strings of smaller sized diamond motifs. The patterns are knotted with shorter darker pile creating an effect of motifs glimpsing through the higher ivory pile. Very nicely finished with a flatweave band on both ends and long plaited tassels. Medium to slight loftly pile and 100% wool. Feels lovely soft and dense under foot. The carpet is in a very good condition.
