A gracefully aged carpet from the Zayane region. Particularly charming are the eight pointed stars spread in a horizontal row as a warm welcome onto the carpet. Over the years this vintage piece has lost some of its longer hairs now disclosing its beautiful and intricate composition. Knotted with a background in magenta showing gentle abrashed tones. A well balanced composition displays a network of female lozenges filled with cross symbols in ivory, tangerine and deep celestial blue. With selvedges in contrasting charcoal. Very nicely finished with braided tassels at the end. Low pile with 100% wool. The carpet is in a very good condition.
