Exquisite and refined vintage Taznakht carpet knotted with a field in natural undyed brown wool layered with patterns in contrasting ivory and subtle use of saffron yellow typical for the weavings from this region. The well balanced composition displays a network of female lozenges flanked with protective male ladder patterned borders. Beautiful silky soft wool quality. With selvedges and very nicely finished with a decorated flatweave band on both ends and long fringes. Low pile and all wool with cotton fibers in the warp. The carpet is in a very good condition.
