Vintage Boujad Rug / 364 x 180 cm

A gracefully aged vintage Boujad with a faded magenta field that whispers its tale in softened tones and a Bohemian spirit. Though it may speak gently, its story is rich, woven with an array of Berber symbols, including lozenges, eight-pointed stars, and cross motifs. At first glance, the composition appears symmetrical, yet closer inspection reveals subtle irregularities and unique insertions, hallmarks of the personal imprint of the weaver.

The palette begins with deep cobalt blue, gradually flowing into dusty rose, faded sage, pale yellow, and ivory. This gentle gradient creates a soft yet soulful presence. One of its most charming accents are the tri-colored selvedges at the edges, alternated in rhythm, bringing a touch of visual surprise.

Aged into a lower pile with all wool yarns, this rug carries its years with grace and poise.
