Vintage Beni Ouarain Rug | 260 x 198 cm
A vintage Beni Ouarain rug in a highly sought-after smaller size, carrying a bold tribal spirit. Its ivory wool field holds a composition of black and charcoal patterns arranged in two variations of zigzag lines that intersect to form irregular lozenge shapes. Flanking this dynamic center, vertical strings of miniature diamonds run along both sides, all embraced by thick, deeply toned borders.
While the front reveals a moody, slightly untamed character, the reverse side uncovers the intricacy and care behind its construction, a quiet testament to the skill of its weaver.
Soft wool, double knotted with a medium pile. Nicely finished with grouped tassels on one end.
