Description
Superb vintage Zayane carpet very densely knotted with a field in warm orange with a subtle glow. The composition shows a discreetly visible network of female lozenges holding intricate patterns knotted with a well balanced palette of charcoal, ivory and contrasting pale turquoise fibers. The patterns are knotted with a lower pile and glimpses through the higher orange pile. The backside however discloses perfectly a beautiful and well balanced composition. Very nicely finished with a flatweave band on both ends and long complimenting plaited tassels. Medium pile, all wool. Lovely soft and dense under foot. This carpet is in a very good condition.
