Description
Vintage carpet from the Boujad region but interestingly with the typical double knot of the Beni Ouarain tribe. Knotted in a palette of bright red, warm orange, sea green, charcoal, ivory and taupe. The composition shows three meandering vertical strings of slightly distorted female lozenges accompanied with a great variety of Berber motifs such as eight pointed stars and protection symbols over a subtle abrashed field. Very nicely finshed with a flatweave band and long plaited tassels. Low to medium pile and all wool. This carpet is in a very good condition.
